Tom Mullarkey

Tom Mullarkey MBE started his career in the British Army and served in Germany, Canada and India as well as operational tours in Northern Ireland and in Rwanda, where he co-ordinated the humanitarian response in 1994-5.

Following a City appointment with SBC Warburg, Tom was appointed general manager of the Manchester Commonwealth Games, a major project over the next five years. After a period as a consultant and an interim director, Tom became Chief Executive of the National Security Inspectorate. He joined RoSPA in May 2006 and resigned in 2016.

Tom has a management degree from the University of Lancaster, an MSc in Defence Studies, and is married with two sons. He and his wife live in Cumbria and enjoy sailing, walking, cycling and wild swimming.
